August
Full of energy, highly motivated and excited about what will be on the agenda in the four training modules between August and November 2011, all seven participants start the next round of our professional consolidated training as a certified Business Trainer BDVT in Paderborn on 28 August. On the first day, participants have found out that they travelled a total of 1537 km to reach their training location, have more than 90 years' experience all together and have many common interests and hobbies. A perfect basis for a harmonious, proactive and creative working environment in the forthcoming training days. We would like our participants to get many new impressions, a pleasant learning environment, experiences, and professionalization. We are already looking forward to the individual seminar and test concepts that will be created during training.

July
To celebrate our anniversary, we provided a competition for our customers, partners and participants from current projects and the visitors of the DGFP-congress in Wiesbaden. Along with a symbolic piece of birthday cake in the form of a delicious Madeleine cake everyone received a card on which only the name and address had to be inserted. All cards received until the end of June 2011 or during the fair went into a large bowl, from which a total of 50 prizes were drawn in July 2011, among them books, games for training, various articles from MitMensch!, coaching requirements and other things. Congratulations to all the winners and we hope you enjoy the prizes.

It's our anniversary!
15 years of MitMensch! Training Coaching MitMensch! GmbH

MitMensch! GmbH celebrated its 15th anniversary. This happy event was taken to look back on past years and events, coming across not only some nice anecdotes and interesting encounters but also some exciting figures.
More than 23,000 participants, 274 successful projects and 178 companies have been successfully served since our foundation on 1 June, 1996. During day-to-day business with customers and participants this dimension didn't stand out. Actually this 15th anniversary would indeed have been a reason to celebrate once again. But following prior consultation with the team we decided on spending a nice evening in good company donating the budget intended for the celebration to the "Help for Chernobyl Children" Foundation. The small foundation, which each year allows 15 to 20 children, who are still suffering from the late effects, a health vacation for about 6 weeks in Germany including medical care – has been supported by us for years. And the disaster in Fukushima earlier this year has increased awareness of the long-term effects and the great work of associations like this.
Since the foundation not only our team has continued to develop, but also the business areas and related topics. Especially the change competence and sustainability, intercultural aspects, the professional and leadership development and topic of professional team development are the pillars of our work. Our philosophy to focus on the people with their concerns and requests has had a permanent effect on work throughout the past 15 years and will continue to determine the interaction with customers, competitors and partners.
A birthday is not only the occasion to look back, but also to once again „to look forward“, as the Westphalian would say. We are excited to learn what the next 15 years will bring. Currently, a lot of movement can be detected in the fields relevant to companies with regard to sustainability, education controlling, change management skills, mega trends, IT and Blended Learning. It is certain, we will continue to be a competent, reliable and innovative learning companion with clear values. The respectful interaction with customers, participants, cooperation- and action partners will also be the basis of our work and team in the forthcoming years.

Competence paired with methodical depth and personal top performanceEight Business trainers convinced with excellent performance

„Never before have the concepts submitted for the exam been as diverse as in this group, and then ever so convincing,“ Peter Krötenheerdt, head of BDVT Academy and examiner for this training round on behalf of the professional organization, praised the concepts submitted by the participants. The range of carefully issued concepts which were produced on the basis of the 13-stage training process from January to May 2011 was impressive.
Starting from a concept to qualify in-house tutors of an international trading company, via a six-stage-reintegration of young prisoners and a professional qualification of young bank apprentices to an intensive training to sharpen the team skills and intercultural skills of a leadership crew of a Polish industrial company. Next in the line of excellent concept work was a basic workshop on value orientation of a central association of a German welfare organization, a team workshop on the use of existing abilities as well as motivation in pharmaceutical sales, a concept for the qualification of operational heads of a security and surveillance company up to a complex supplemental training of executives, whose company was currently undergoing a complex transformation program.
All the concept works, written and oral examinations were completed by the eight dedicated participants with flying colours. The two exam days on May 5 and 6, 2011, only showed the outstanding commitment that the brand-new BDVT business coaches had shown during the four training modules. All trainees had to cope with either their full-time job, usually in PE or HR with their employer, or had to arrange their professional self-employment with the training requirements. Not an easy task to master this double burden for approximately 5 months. But after the last of the eight participants had passed his exam on Friday, training process, methodology, evaluation, participant orientation, needs analyses on education as well as visualization were forgotten. After receiving the final certificate glasses were risen, and later a small group of participants and the training team of MitMensch! Training Coaching Management GmbH cooked together, ate and celebrated.

March
Five brand new basic trainers BDVT take offOn Friday, March 18th, six day of intensive work had been rewarded with five successful exams. Methodological basics, didactical know-how, basic elements of participants' interaction, communication models in practice, visualization and most importantly, the "wrapping" of complex fact-based contents in adequate learning packages. Also feedback, evaluation and knowledge transfer had been among the topics of this trainer-the-trainer course. In addition to the theoretical and practical working on the courses' contents the implementation into the daily training practice followed immediately. With the help of the 10 stages of the process "basic training" the participants developed their individual basic training, according to their working emphasis. This training concept was also used as basis for the demonstration lesson during the examination day. After a written exam the live presentation of all participants followed. In front of the MitMensch! examiners and Helmut E. Wirtz as examiner and representative of the BDVT all 5 participants went each through 30 minutes demonstration lesson with an individual feedback. All participants have developed themselves brilliantly and of course coped in an excellent way with the exams. We are happy for

Train-the-Trainer course "Basic Trainer" starts on March 13th
On March 13th our newest train-the-trainer course "Basic Trainer" started. As the earlier courses for "Bsic Trainers" this year had been topic-specific (e.g. "Basic Trainer Banking", "Basic Trainer IT" …), the actual course is cross-topic realized. During the six days the participants will strengthen their fact-based expertise with sounded trainer-competencies as defining the educational objective, solving stumbling blocks in training situations, adapting the content to specific target groups as well as education controlling and measurement of results. In addition to broaden the own training experience also the practical use and training of these topics is part of the course. In this way the participants have the opportunity to reflect the first transfer and use during the course and they can use the individual feedback by colleagues and trainer to work on their personal trainer performance more in detail. The train-the-trainer course "Basic Trainer BDVT" addresses employees who take over technical or professional trainer tasks and who impart complex knowledge, products or services to third parties. In the overall 70 teaching units of this course the participants work on the following topics:
- personal and social competencies
- fact-based competence
- method- and media-competence
- evaluation

February
A German proverb says “everything new comes in May”. In the 15th year of MitMensch! activities we have preponed this process due to our customers' requests to February. Actually there are two new projects driven forwards by our trainer team.
“Scenario pilot HR” now with 9+1 perspectivesCertainly you remember our analysis tool “Scenario Pilot HR”, which we presented during last year's “BDVT experta” in Bamberg. Mainly midsize companies use this tool actively to take stock of their ability to change and their ability to deal with future aspects, both focused on their employees. The “Scenario Pilot” looks at the employees' situation, the current development programs, the interaction between employees and superiors as well as other future-relevant aspects and covers 9 different perspectives.
The individual use of the “Scenario Pilot” demonstrated an increasing demand for an additional perspective to take also the renewed German accounting act BilMoG into consideration. The customers' wish is our command; therefore we have realized a reversed version of the “Scenario Pilot”. Now it is possible to cover the aspects immaterial assets, knowledge assets, individual, structured and dynamic human capital. We have created a 10th perspective and completed our team with Ute Irene Pfeiffer as tax expert, MBA and BDVT certified trainer and therefore key personnel in this domain.
Many companies consider this new perspective essential: p.es. the collected immaterial assets can influence the annual balance sheet significantly in a positive way. You would like to know more about this topic? Our competence team is looking forward to your call and is glad to arrange a first analysis-day (of course free of charge) in your company.

Fit in the secondary health care market
This or something like that could be the name of our second project that started at the beginning of the year. Sales optimization, customer analysis, product catalogue, team building and niche markets are common terms for business companies. But for fitness studios? Concrete requests and first projects have shown that the secondary health care market is not only about fitness, physique, weight, pulse and muscles. As all the other business companies, the app. 5,600 fitness studios in Germany are in qualitative competition with their competitors. For the customer the overall package has to fit: attractive offers, customer focus, added values, service orientation, a competent and high-performing team in the exercise area and in the background are only some of the aspects taken into consideration by visitors to decide, whether a studio is interesting at all or if he would like to renew a contract. Those who would like to be always in the lead in the dynamic surrounding of the secondary health care market and want to secure their future need more than good equipment, effective dietary supplements and additional offers. Exactly these ideas have been made by some studios in the surrounding of Paderborn who asked MitMensch! to develop a special analysis, consulting and training concept. The concept's goal will be to get a multi-dimensional analysis of the actual studio-situation, the strengths and potentials as well as to receive pragmatic, ready-to-implement measures. And all this bearing in mind organizational, fact-based and personal aspects. Is the team qualified and set-up properly? How is the customer communication? Which customer group is the main target group? How is the course and area offer composed? Is the internal communication between multiple shift works properly functioning? These are only some questions that our trainers use to get a detailed idea of the starting situation. The trainer team is composed by two experienced business trainers that posses not only substantiated know-how in organizational development but also a sound sport and health care background. Together the studio development, niche markets and optimization aspects are discussed. The required action plans are worked out in workshops and also concrete implementation plans are developed: The result is an individual, manageable and pragmatic concept to strengthen the studio's market position and to enlarge its sustainability.

“Charismatic visionaries ready to start.” With the beginning of the new year the next group “Certified Business Trainer BDVT” started their training at the MitMensch! GmbH. Eight dedicated employees of HR, training and education departments of international companies (trade, banking, finance, pharmaceuticals, DIY, public welfare) and two freelancers will use the 24 training days to sharpen and enlarge their trainer competencies. As a first introduction exercise revealed, this training group “I/2011” comes with more then 70 years of professional experience, has an average age of 36 years and travelled together 2,057 km to reach their training location in Paderborn. The highly motivated and dynamic group found a fitting name for themselves during their first day together: Charismatic visionaries. After having said goodbye in November 2010 to our last training group “Big 8” with brilliant exams for their trainer businesses, we are now looking forward to work with the “charismatic visionaries” and to see how they will cope with the training modules.

A study dealing with Sustainability, Quality and Value Creation in HR development

How do you ensure that external partners transport the company's values and apply them as a recognizable guideline that leads through each training?
And how do they ensure the sustainability of their training program?
These questions have always been central to our work in the area of “HR-Management”. In order to get a realistic impression of the value added and the quality assurance in the HR departments of German companies and to deduct concrete procedure concepts (out of this), MitMensch! GmbH currently performs the study “Sustainability, Quality, and Value Creation” in the HR departments of about 2,000 German companies. The results of this study will be used to create and elaborate enhanced solutions with regards to the quality, value creation and sustainability in HR development.
The project manager is Natalie Günter who is currently evaluating the returns of the study and initiating the evaluation process. The results of the study will be presented for the first time in the context of the exhibition experta – BDVT Expertentage für Personalentwickler (01. – 02. March 2010 in Bamberg). If you have any questions or if you are interested in the results of the study please contact Ms Günter.

Training Concepts for handicraft business' sustainability
Handicraft businesses in our days are confronted with multiple challenges: Short budgets, rising price-performance ration, customers' clear demands of services and quality on one hand, on the other hand intense cost and resources pressure. In addition the employees ask for perspectives and planning. It is not a simple task that handicraft business is facing, taking other criteria such as the pressure of competitiveness, change EU guidelines and a growing do-it-yourself mentality in additional consideration. Under these circumstances the “right” positioning for handicraft business is necessary. This exactly offers the new MitMensch! concept. In individual building blocks and time units we analyze your present situation. On this basis we consider likewise how to go on. Firstly the concept starts with an integrated analysis of the company's position, secondly it identifies the company's potentials and weak points and thirdly it gives a choice of matching solutions for the company in question. Companies which already have run through the program are now able to a self-controlled and convincingly new management. Consequently it can be realized to one hundred per cent. We developed and introduced this concept for companies from five employees/journeys upwards. The concept is orientated completely to the specific trade and the company's individual situation. Also on the financial side our program is interesting as public funds are available and can be called at present.
